In these unprecedented times staying indoors is the safest way to preserve ourselves from this deadly virus. But, doing the same leave us stressed and worried. Especially the ones who are social animals, this is a nightmare. So, what’s the solution to it? Going out? CERTAINLY NOT! 

 The only solution is not being a couch potato and getting yourself involved in some amount of physical activity. 

 In fact, according to the centers for disease control & prevention (CDC), a minimum of 150 minutes of physical activity every week should be done by everyone to stay healthy from inside out. 

 This, when broken down, comes down to 30 minutes of walking or any activity every day at least for 5 days in a week.

 Here are some ways to incorporate the same. Let’s begin! 

 Walk, walk and walk- Regular walking can work for non-active people, as walking is easy & does not even take considerable efforts like you can use stairs and not lifts when going out for some necessary work. Besides, when stuck in, use the balcony of your house to walk for at least 20 mins a day. You can do this in between your work hours as well when you are on call. 

 Dance to the beats- Whether you are a pro or not, dance in any form like Bhangra, Zumba, or even aerobics or Bollywood can make you feel upbeat instantly. So, do it as often as you can at least for 15 minutes. 

Yoga and pilates- This should be a part of your morning routine. Start your day with dedicated half an hour for breathing exercises and stretch in the fresh air, preferably on your balcony. 

 House chores- Did you know doing house chores also is a form of exercise. Cleaning the house with a broomstick and mop is a good exercise in itself. Moreover, while doing laundry you can do laundry squats as well.
